Short Description
The Senior Product Manager, Core Services plays a critical role in shaping, delivering, and scaling the shared platform capabilities that support a diverse and growing product ecosystem. This role focuses on foundational services such as identity and access management, notifications, audit services, and transaction orchestration, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and easy for teams to adopt. Working closely with engineering, security, and operations partners, this role translates complex technical needs into a clear, inclusive product vision that enables teams to move faster and build with confidence. The position is well suited for a technically fluent product leader who values collaboration, continuous learning, and building platforms that create meaningful impact across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term vision and roadmap for Core Services, aligning with enterprise architecture, scalability needs, and future growth.
- Establish clear service definitions, APIs, and integration models that enable consistent adoption across multiple product teams.
- Lead strategy for identity, authorization, auditability, notifications, and transaction orchestration as shared, standards-driven capabilities.
- Partner closely with engineering leaders to guide solution design, sprint planning, and thoughtful technical trade-offs.
- Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, risk reduction, reliability, and organizational strategy.
- Serve as the primary point of connection for internal teams consuming Core Services, fostering trust, transparency, and shared ownership.
- Collaborate with security, architecture, infrastructure, operations, and data partners to ensure services meet compliance, audit, and resiliency expectations.
- Define and monitor service-level objectives, availability targets, and error budgets to support dependable, high-quality platforms.
- Drive consolidation of duplicative technologies and promote reusable solutions that reduce complexity and improve efficiency.
- Measure and grow adoption of shared services, using feedback and data to continuously improve the developer experience.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of highly technical or platform-level products.
- Prior experience as a software engineer or technical lead, or equivalent hands-on technical background.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts such as OAuth2, OIDC, and role- or attribute-based access control.
- Experience with distributed systems, API-first design, and message-based or event-driven architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across multiple product and engineering teams, including senior stakeholders.
- Proven success delivering shared services or platforms adopted broadly across an organization.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, microservices, and high-scale, highly reliable systems.
- Experience in regulated, audit-focused, or compliance-sensitive environments is a plus.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $90,746 - $200,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
