Overview
The Product Manager, Licensing Manager, is responsible for defining, maintaining, and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Licensing Manager, Brightstar’s new cloud‑native solution that digitalizes the retailer licensing application process, including new applications, renewals, and change‑of‑ownership workflows..
This role will collaborate closely with Product Engineering to translate business needs into functional product requirements, ensure development aligns with scope and schedule, and deliver high‑quality, user‑friendly solutions. The Product Manager serves as a key product champion for internal and external stakeholders and plays a central role in customer engagement, requirements discovery, and product adoption.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Licensing Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements.
- Manage and prioritize the feature backlog, partnering with Product Engineering on delivery plans, scope, and release sequencing.
- Provide input to Technology and UX on mockups and workflow designs to optimize usability and ensure efficient license application processing.
- Coordinate with Technology teams to ensure all software meets defined scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Validate new features and functions through final user acceptance testing.
- Communicate product release updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and track KPIs related to product performance, adoption, and customer value.
- Stay informed on industry, regulatory, and technology trends related to licensing, compliance, and retailer management.
- Evaluate customer feedback, market opportunities, and competitive landscape to influence roadmap decisions.
- Maintain awareness of modern digital‑forms capabilities, workflow management solutions, and back‑office integration standards.
- Engage with customers to understand licensing workflows, business rules, compliance requirements, and operational challenges.
- Analyze and document customer needs; evaluate, prioritize, and convert them into product requirements.
- Support discovery sessions, implementation workshops, and design reviews during customer projects.
- Advocate for the value of Licensing Manager and drive adoption through strong product storytelling and demonstration of benefits.
- Support sales teams by participating in demos, customer presentations, industry events, and conferences.
- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing collateral, including product overviews, roadmap decks, and value propositions.
- Assist with RFP responses by providing product‑specific content and insight.
Qualifications
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams across Technology, UX, Business Proposals, and Sales.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to break down complex workflows and design efficient solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to quickly learn new business areas, processes, tools, and technologies.
- Comfortable adopting AI‑enabled tools to streamline requirements, analysis, and day‑to‑day product workflows.
- Experience with workflow‑driven products, digital forms, or back‑office operational systems preferred.
- Experience with Jira and Product Plan is a plus.
- 3–5+ years of relevant product management or related experience.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
