Responsibilities

The Procurement Governance and P2P Specialist II supports Brightstar Lottery’s procurement governance, supplier management, and Procure-to-Pay operations, with primary responsibility for the United States and Rest of World regions and opportunities to support selected global processes.
This individual contributor manages supplier qualification and onboarding, supplier risk monitoring, supplier performance evaluation, spend analysis, procurement reporting, and process improvement initiatives in alignment with corporate policies and governance frameworks. The role also supports internal and external audits and procurement-related certification activities to promote compliance with corporate standards, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Serving as a subject-matter expert and primary point of contact for the Ariba P2P platform, this role supports platform governance, maintenance, continuous improvement, and future enhancements in collaboration with ERP, IT, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, Audit, CSR, ICT Security, and external service providers. The position reports to the Procurement Governance and P2P Manager and is based in Providence, Rhode Island.
  • Manage supplier qualification, onboarding, administration, and monitoring activities while maintaining productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain supplier master data and supporting documentation, ensuring information is complete, accurate, current, and aligned with established governance requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier risk assessments, performance evaluations, and inspections in collaboration with Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, Audit, CSR, ICT Security, and other participating functions.
  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, analyze purchasing and spend data, establish process key performance indicators, and monitor results to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain procurement policies, procedures, controls, and supporting documentation in accordance with corporate standards, SOX requirements, and applicable compliance frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits and procurement-related certification processes by coordinating documentation, responding to information requests, and helping address identified gaps.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for the Ariba P2P platform, supporting platform governance, maintenance, issue resolution, process changes, and enhancements in partnership with ERP, IT, business functions, and external vendors.
  • Identify and implement procurement process improvements that balance cost, quality, operational efficiency, supplier risk, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build effective working relationships across Operations, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, CSR, ICT Security, external auditors, certification organizations, and P2P platform vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • At least five years of procurement experience, including experience in procurement governance.
  • Demonstrated experience administering, supporting, or governing the Ariba P2P platform.
  • Knowledge of supplier qualification, onboarding, master data management, risk assessment, performance evaluation, and procurement reporting processes.
  • Understanding of procurement policies, internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit support activities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Accounting, Operations, Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, IT, and Information Security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret procurement data, monitor KPIs, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships and coordinate activities across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to balance cost, quality, operational effectiveness, supplier risk, and compliance when evaluating procurement processes and resolving issues

 

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Approximately ten years of progressive procurement experience across multiple areas, including procurement governance.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Ariba P2P platform and experience supporting platform maintenance, governance, implementation, or enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting SOX controls, internal or external audits, and certification processes.
  • Italian-language proficiency.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $ 55,631- $ 98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
