Overview

Our team is growing and Brightstar is seeking a talented and experienced Technology Manager to join our team to build world class Lottery products. As the leader of our team, you will be a contributing member and responsible for a product engineering team. This exciting position offers many opportunities to be on the cutting edge of software development and delivery while working with other talented engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage and lead software engineering team
  • Work with Product Management Teams to define Customers Feature Roadmap
  • Promote high quality and timely completion of projects
  • Actively lead or participate in resolving key issues that impact the performance of the team
  • Provide technical solutions to complex problems
  • Provides guidance to team members within the established company policies
  • Mentor and guide other engineers to achieve their career goals
  • Responsible for support 24/7 support of solutions in specialized or disaster situations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Software Development roles
  • 3+ years of Engineering Leadership or Management experience
  • May include years of experience in Software Architecture roles
  •  Computer Science Bachelor's degree, college degree, or equivalent experience
  •  Team management, coaching and people development
  •  Ability to drive development teams
  •  Engineering experience with Java language and its frameworks including SpringBoot, JPA, JAX-RS, Spring Batch, Quartz
  •  Expert in developing scalable products in Cloud Infrastructure including Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform
  •  Experience working with database applications at scale, i.e. PostgreSQL
  • Application solutions developed using event streaming, i.e. Kafka
  • Experience developing monitoring systems using latest frameworks and technologies
  • Expert knowledge of version control systems including Git
  •  Production deployment and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to pass a security investigation

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
