Overview

As an Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day technology operations, helping ensure employees across the organization have the devices and resources they need to do their best work. In this role, you’ll assist with device logistics, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to meaningful improvements in how we track and manage IT assets. You’ll work closely with the ITAM team on tasks that combine hands‑on support with data‑driven problem‑solving.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the shipping, receiving, and tracking of IT devices, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Connect with employees to coordinate device replacements and retrieve retired equipment.
  • Update and maintain asset records within the IT Asset Management system.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data from Microsoft 365 and the ITAM database.
  • Identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies to strengthen accuracy.
  • Contribute to ITAM team projects, audits, and inventory cleanup initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Enrollment in a degree program related to IT, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and filtering.
  • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Familiarity with IT Asset Management or inventory‑tracking systems.
  • Experience with data reconciliation or reporting.
  • Interest in IT operations or enterprise support environments.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $22.50 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
