Overview
Responsibilities
- Drive product development from initial marketing requirements through production release.
- Create robust engineering solutions that anticipate future product functionality and scalability.
- Resolve complex design and development challenges using innovative and efficient approaches.
- Participate fully in product development activities, including detailed design, prototype fabrication, and evaluation testing.
- Conduct and contribute to formal design reviews.
- Develop and maintain part and assembly designs, bills of material, and engineering change orders.
- Lead and support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of field issues.
- Plan and execute product testing to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Determine methods for completing work independently and support method development for team assignments.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Partner with contract manufacturers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Engage regularly with technical experts, product leaders, and stakeholders across Brightstar Lottery to advocate for engineering needs and priorities.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced team members.Lead projects or project components as needed.
- Contribute to developing, refining, and promoting electrical engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required); advanced degree preferred.
- Typically 8–12+ years of relevant technical engineering experience or equivalent education/experience.
- 1–2 years of project or design lead experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of AC power and DC electrical circuits.
- Experience with DxDesigner schematic capture required.
- Experience with PADS layout, SPICE, VHDL, and other development tools preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Experience estimating effort for project planning and managing work to meet schedule expectations.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
