Responsibilities

If you get excited about online social and mobile games that leverage the power of cloud services and Facebook then this is an opportunity you will want to explore! We are looking for a strong Senior Manager with leadership and development experiences to lead our Engineering organization.

The incumbent will:

Lead the engineering organization by daily team accountability, tasking and timely completion of projects
Work closely with product management to determine feasibility of product features and provide alternatives when necessary
Keep interest and excitement levels high, inside and outside of the department
Participate in the mentoring and career development of all direct reports
Constantly look for better processes for projecting and improving project profitability
Participate in communicating, monitoring and enforcing company guidelines for software development
Encourage innovation of process and creative development methodologies by all
Actively lead or participate in resolving key issues that impact the performance of the team
Present creative solutions to internal teams when possible-Design and implement critical components of the product

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in client-side software design and development experience
3+ years of experience in HTML5, ActionScript, and/or Java programming
3+ years of supervisory/management experience
Knowledge of the implications of developing for high-availability clustered environments
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Working knowledge or broad experience with SVN, Mercurial, Jira, bitbucket and Confluence
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming, FP, Components and Design Patterns for Games and Web Applications
Proficiency in JavaScript or any FP language
Proficiency in at least one OOP language like Java, C++, C#, AS3
Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with technical / non-technical personnel
Able to pass a Security Background Investigation

Preferred:

Familiarity with current generation tools and frameworks (e.g. ReactJS, ReactNative, Babel)
History of designing and deploying well-structured JavaScript applications
Solid Experience with DVCS
Solid Experience in TDD / BDD methodologies
Online game development experience
