Brightstar Lottey is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to become our Head of Cloud DevOps. This role is for a highly technical, strategic, and hands-on leader who can define the future of our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our development and operations teams to create a culture of continuous delivery, operational excellence, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud and DevOps strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and supports long-term growth and innovation.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing DevOps, Cloud, and SRE engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Infrastructure Management: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure across our multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Oversee the governance and optimization of our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable fast, secure, and reliable software releases.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the adoption and maturity of IaC practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Cloud Governance & FinOps Alignment: Operate in close alignment with existing Cloud Governance and FinOps frameworks to ensure compliance, cost transparency, and operational efficiency. This role will actively collaborate with Governance and FinOps teams to support and enhance established processes.
- Security and Compliance: Partner with security teams to embed security best practices (DevSecOps) into all cloud and deployment processes, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g. RAMP, NIST).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, and executive leadership to align deployment workflows with business delivery timelines and represent DevOps metrics and decisions at the leadership level.
- Innovation: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and automate operational processes to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on cloud operations or DevOps.
- Deep expertise in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including a track record of successfully managing and scaling complex, multi-cloud environments.
- Proven experience in building, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using modern DevOps tooling.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and incident management practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure certifications) are highly desirable.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $INSERT HERE - $INSERT HERE. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
