Role Overview:

As a Business Systems Analyst in the Lottery Product Management team (Instants Game Management) you will be responsible for executing the product vision, strategy and roadmap for products in the Lottery instants game management area. Your contribution to the product vision and strategy is an essential component in how you will influence the roadmap and customer engagements, providing you with the ability to shape new features and help customers make the most of existing releases.

Reporting to the Product Manager for Instants Game Management you will be involved in working with our clients and engineering teams to own, shape and drive the products we create. You will oversee the development of these products from start to finish, working to establish business requirements, identify new functionality and enhancements, manage the grooming of the feature backlog, as well as develop and prioritize themes, epics and stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

Through collaborative relationships across the enterprise and engaging with our customers (internal and external) you will help IGT and Lotteries utilize the products in your portfolio to achieve their business goals and deliver the desired business outcomes. Working directly in customer implementation projects allows you to bring back to the R&D backlog potential new features and functions identified for your products.

This position is a hybrid role based in the Brightstar office in Warsaw, Poland, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Main Activities:

With focus on both Product Development (products to the shelf) and Product Adoption (with our Lottery customers), the Business Systems Analyst is a key role in translating our customer’s needs to our product roadmaps and vision. As a Business Systems Analyst you will:                                                                               

  • Understand and help contribute to the product manager’s vision for the team’s products
  • Work closely with the Lead Product Owner on prioritizing feature requirement creation and user story reviews.
  • Lead customer engagements to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements, arrange and conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops
  • Completely own your team's products, existing or new, in the scrum team, elaborating features into technical requirements, defining, managing, and overseeing delivery of the team backlog, acceptance testing of products to the shelf
  • Oversee all stages of product creation (including design and development) by liaising closely with product engineering leaders who will manage the day-to-day engineering efforts
  • Create customer-specific artifacts (e.g., Business Process Flows, Functional Specifications, Use Cases, Customer Requirements Documents, Configuration Questionnaires)
  • Cooperate with other stakeholders, such as Marketing, Legal and Security
  • Provide guidance, and ongoing support for customers to drive product usage

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT field or equivalent work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a business systems analysis role or as a product owner, managing a product or complex feature within an enterprise
  • A strong understanding of agile software development methods, applied concepts and tools in modern product management and product design, JIRA and/or Polarion experience strongly desired
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence without authority, working with team members who do not report into this role to get things done
  • Strong project management, organizational and management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing initiatives with aggressive multi-project schedule
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 15% of time)
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones internationally
  • A sound understanding of the technical aspects of a transaction processing product (such as a lottery transaction engine, a core banking system or a fintech) and its complexities is a strong plus
