OVERRAL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

Brightstar Lottery is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and execute payroll operations across multiple Caribbean sites. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate across departments and regions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITES

• Process payroll accurately and on time for assigned sites, including new hires, terminations, and benefit adjustments.
• Manage bi-weekly and/or monthly payroll cycles, including month-end close and year-end support.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations and regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings and payments in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain country-specific payroll knowledge repositories.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll delivery and employee satisfaction.
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Work with various payroll vendors and systems across the region.
• Conduct pricing negotiations with payroll partners as needed.
• Generate complex payroll reports, including tax amendments, calculation updates, and special and ad hoc reports.
• Performs any other reasonable additional duties and responsibilities as assigned through the direct or senior lines of management  

Qualifications

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-country or regional environment.
• Experience working with international payroll vendors.
• Familiarity with labor laws and payroll regulations in Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Antigua, St Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, St Maarten and USVI.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
