Overview
As a Data Center Operations Analyst II, you sit at the heart of what keeps Brightstar Lottery running. Our lottery customers depend on systems that simply cannot go down, and you are one of the people who makes sure they don’t. In this role, you will support the stability and continuity of our CAT and Production environments, assist with system releases, coordinate with install teams, and help maintain the documentation that keeps us audit-ready and operationally sharp. You will also play a meaningful part in training Operators and sharing your knowledge across the team, making everyone around you more capable. This is a hands-on, mission-critical role where your technical skill directly supports Brightstar’s commitment to service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support the processing and monitoring of critical CAT systems and assist with integration into Production environments.
- Assist in creating and executing install plans, and coordinate with install teams during night and off-hours releases.
- Track software changes and approvals across QA, CAT, and Production environments in alignment with change control standards.
- Provide support for CAT and Production environments during standard and off-hours windows, including high-impact release periods.
- Respond to system issues and escalations to minimize downtime and reduce financial risk.
- Archive and maintain operational and change management documentation to support audit readiness.
- Share in on-call responsibilities as a part of the Florida Operations leadership team.
- Update/create scripts, tools, and utilities as needed to support operational efficiency and problem prevention.
- Train and support Operators on CAT system processing, release procedures, and ad hoc customer requests.
- Document operational procedures, checklists, and best practices to support team consistency and continuity.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer activities during onboarding and role transitions to protect operational readiness.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, site leadership, Lottery personnel, and corporate support teams to meet operational requirements.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operating systems, tools, and procedures.
- Participate in operational reviews and Training Needs Analysis sessions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Associate’s degree with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in operations, systems support, or a technical environment.
- Experience supporting lottery systems or other regulated, high-availability environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with system releases, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support off-hours operational windows.
- Working proficiency in Unix, Linux, JBOSS, DB2, Telnet, and Remote Desktop.
- Familiarity with basic scripting and proprietary environments such as Aurora, ES Suite, and ProSys.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, , and Outlook.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document procedures clearly and train peers effectively.
- Ability to stay focused and composed during high-impact release windows or system incidents.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,631 - $98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
