Overview

Brightstar is seeking a Field Service Technician to support lottery operations by servicing equipment at retail locations in the San Antonio, TX area. This role focuses on maintaining uptime, troubleshooting issues in the field, and supporting retailer operations through technical service and training.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service calls and travel within assigned service zone
  • Install, repair, and maintain lottery equipment and communication devices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in the field (swap parts, clean, adjust components)
  • Deliver supplies (paper, ribbons, bet slips) and manage inventory
  • Provide basic training to retailers on equipment usage
  • Accurately report service activities, issues, and resolutions
  • Maintain company vehicle and adhere to driving policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of technical repair experience
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Ability to distinguish colors (equipment-related requirement)

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $14.00 – $23.00. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
