Responsibilities

A Repair Logistics Technician II performs a variety of duties related to the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of terminals and associated peripherals down to component and board level under limited supervision. This position is also responsible for coordinating basic warehouse operations, parts ordering, and inventory control to ensure continuous supply and timely repairs in the field and warehouse. Additionally, this position supports site management by conducting data collection, analysis, and reporting on service metrics.

  • Coordinates and updates the repair and inventory database.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of spare parts, sub-assemblies, and complete terminals.
  • Creates and manages parts orders; monitors spare parts usage to ensure continuity of service.
  • Coordinates shipping and receiving operations.
  • Communicates and manages Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes with central repair facilities and external vendors.
  • Assists subject matter experts in developing technical documentation.
  • Assists with onboarding and training of junior Repair Logistics Technicians.
  • Tests the point-of-sale and communications equipment to determine the cause of failure.
  • Aids with field service activities, including service calls and installations.
  • Interfaces with lottery and retail customers and various client services departments.
  • Inspects point-of-sale equipment for damage and screens returned parts for quality assurance.
  • Cleans interior and exterior of point-of-sale equipment.
  • Transports equipment between warehouse locations.
  • Performs data entry and general administrative duties.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Performs general cleaning and maintains warehouse organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.

    Experience: 2+ years in electronics repair, logistics, or a related field.

    Technical Skills:

    • Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems required.
    • Experience with IP-based technologies and communication systems (preferred).
    • Experience with navigating various software applications required.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and mechanical reasoning.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities.
    • Team-oriented with a proactive, self-motivated mindset.

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a 24-foot box truck safely and efficiently.
    • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including maintaining a current DOT medical card and adhering to all applicable DOT regulations.
    • Ability to perceive colors (for troubleshooting).
    • Must pass background checks (criminal, education, employment).
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work with tools and electrical components.
    • Occasional travel and field support as needed.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $31,096 - $67,49. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
