Are you about to complete your Master’s degree and looking to start a formative internship experience to enhance and develop your skills?

Our Internship Program is the right opportunity for you!

 

Brightstar, a global leader in the lottery industry, is seeking talented and technology‑driven young professionals who want to become part of our organization through a structured Internship Program.

The program will allow you to test and grow your capabilities across three different areas within our iLottery Technology team:

  • Project / Program Management
  • Business System Analysis
  • Process Re-engineering

 

At the end of the program, interns will have gained knowledge and hands-on experience in project management methodologies, functional analysis of software products, and optimization of organizational processes.

Program

 

Depending on the academic background of the selected candidate, the internship may be activated in one of the following ways:

 

Undergraduate Students:

A curricular internship, followed by an extracurricular internship, for a total duration of up to 12 months.

 

Recent Graduates:

A direct extracurricular internship with a maximum duration of 6 months.

 

Throughout the program, interns will be supported by experienced mentors who will guide them through daily challenges.

The program includes three rotations across the three functional areas, plus a final period within a team identified by the manager based on the intern’s performance and team needs.

Activities in Project/program management Area

 

The intern will support the Project Management Office (PMO) team in managing the delivery of the iLottery platform for international customers. This role requires building cross-functional consensus and ensuring projects are delivered on time, with high quality and within budget.

Working closely with Product Owners and Technology teams, the intern will play a key role in the success of software delivery.

 

During the PMO rotation, the intern will gain experience in:

  • Scrum ceremonies
  • Delivery process
  • Project team dynamics and problem-solving
  • Definition of technical dependencies across teams
  • Stakeholder management
  • Project monitoring and control

Activities in Business System Analysis Area

 

The intern will support the Business Analysts and Product Owners in ensuring accurate and effective definition of requirements for product delivery.

 

During the Business Analysis rotation, the intern will gain experience in:

  • Requirements elicitation
  • Requirements tracking and monitoring using Jira
  • Customer management
  • Roadmap reviews and backlog grooming

Activities in Process Re-Engineering Area

 

The intern will also support the Re-engineering and Portfolio Management team in ensuring proper process definition and accurate financial portfolio monitoring.

 

During this rotation, the intern will develop skills and knowledge in:

  • Organizational structure 
  • Process definition best practices
  • Portfolio financial monitoring
  • Financial planning
  • Capitalization of Research & Development costs
  • Cloud vs. on-premise delivery models
  • Cost accounting treatment and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

Requirements

 

We are looking for talented candidates who have recently completed or are about to complete a Master’s degree preferably  in:

  • Economics
  • Management Engineering
  • Computer Science

Technical Skills

 

  • Fluent English (C1 level) mandatory
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles will be considered a plus

Working Conditions

 

  • Smart working available up to 11 days per month.
  • Curricular internship: €1,000 reimbursement + €11 meal voucher per working day
  • Extracurricular internship: €1,100 reimbursement + €11 meal voucher per working day
