Responsibilities
- Define and govern QA processes, methodologies, standards, and testing strategies across all product streams.
- Lead and coordinate QA activities, resources, and priorities to support delivery objectives.
- Participate in Product Owner refinement sessions to ensure requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with business needs.
- Define and maintain test cases, automation standards, and no-regression test plans for all changes.
- Review automated test suites to ensure quality, reliability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor testing progress, resolve blockers, and coordinate issue resolution with Product, Development, DevOps, Operations, and third-party providers.
- Verify release readiness and provide formal QA sign-off for product releases and deployments.
- Define, monitor, and report QA KPIs, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and monitor team capacity plan, recommend changes to align to business demand.
- People management responsibilities for QA team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, certification, audit, and quality requirements.
Working Model
- Hybrid working model in accordance with company policy.
- Availability to support distributed teams across Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom and to attend on site meetings when required.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline.
- ISTQB, Agile Testing, Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent certifications are desirable.
Professional Experience / Seniority
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading QA teams or QA workstreams.
- Proven experience defining and implementing automated testing strategies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting complex, business-critical software platforms in Agile environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and deliver results through collaboration and influence.
- Proven track record of managing stakeholders, resolving delivery challenges, and supporting successful release outcomes.
- Previous experience in Gaming, Lottery, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Deep knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies and Quality Engineering practices.
- Experience as people manager.
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks, strategies, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience with release management, defect management, and quality governance processes.
- Knowledge of Gaming, Lottery, FinTech, or other regulated environments is considered an advantage.

This information reflects Brightstar Lottery’s good-faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of publication. Actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and internal compensation policies. Factors that we consider include, but are not limited to, role, career level, performance, skills, level of expertise, experience, location, market competitiveness, and internal equity. The estimated starting compensation range is €52.000– €59.500. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for an annual performance-based bonus with a set target (15% of salary) aligned with individual and company performance. Eligibility and payout may be prorated based on date of hire and service during the performance period or sales commission.

This position is governed by collective bargaining agreement, which regulates the main terms and conditions of employment, including minimum salary levels, classification, working hours, leave, and other employment rights.
