Role overview:

Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective procurement of services and goods for the assigned procurement categories at global level.  This role involves supplier strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and formalization, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and quality purchases to meet business needs, adhering to procurement strategies, in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. 

Key Responsabilities:

 

  • Follow sourcing strategies within an international environment to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services.
  • Identify new suppliers for the assigned procurement categories and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and high performance.
  • Manage RFP/RFQ and negotiate terms, prices, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
  • Contribute to procurement budget management, spend monitoring, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality for the categories under his / her responsibility.
  • Work closely with Business Units requesting services/goods and other departments to ensure any step of contract negotiation, formalization and procurement policy compliance.
  • Contribute to conduct market research to identify trends, new suppliers, and opportunities for innovation in the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of how procurement integrates with other business functions, such as operations, finance, and logistics, to achieve overall business goals.
  • Knowledge of the industry, including market trends, supplier dynamics, and regulatory factors.
  • Additionally, a strong awareness of the commercial environment and competitors’ products and services is essential for identifying opportunities to optimize sourcing strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Must be knowledgeable in various procurement areas to include supplier management, contract management and SOX and Compliance valuation analysis.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information. 
  • Knowledge may involve an understanding of company policies and procedures, internal and external network connections to acquire needed materials, and an understanding of the competitive environment and availability for strategic supplies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Ariba is essential.
  • Key skills include strong negotiation, communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage resources across diverse environments. 
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools.

Professional Experience/Seniority:

The candidate must have experience 7 Years in Procurement with specific expertise in Ariba platform or on equivalent platforms.

At least 2 years in managing people.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Fluent English is essential
