Overview

The Senior Project Manager, SAP S/4HANA Transformation, leads large-scale global ERP transformation programs, overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrations. This role partners with business leaders, IT teams, system integrators, and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

The position manages all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live support. Candidates must have extensive SAP ERP project leadership experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and fluency in English and Italian. International travel is required.

Responsibilities

Project & Program Leadership

Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, resources, and governance structures.
Oversee multiple project workstreams and ensure achievement of project objectives and milestones.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary liaison among business leaders, executive sponsors, IT teams, and implementation partners.
Facilitate steering committees, workshops, status reviews, and executive communications.
Coordinate global cross-functional teams to drive successful project delivery.

SAP S/4HANA Delivery

Oversee solution design, integration, data migration, testing, training, deployment, and cutover activities.
Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with SAP implementation methodologies and organizational governance standards.

Financial, Risk & Change Management

Manage project budgets, forecasts, vendors, and resource allocations.
Identify and mitigate project risks and resource constraints.
Support organizational change management and business adoption of SAP S/4HANA solutions.

Governance & Reporting

Provide executive reporting on project status, budgets, scope, KPIs, risks, and overall program health.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance, audit, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
10+ years of project/program management experience, including 5+ years leading SAP ERP initiatives.
Experience leading at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
Strong understanding of ERP processes and cross-functional business integration.
Experience managing system integrators, consulting partners, and global project teams.
Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 30-50%.

Preferred

Master's degree.
PMP, SAP Activate, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications.
Experience leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformations.
Experience in multinational manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consumer products organizations.
Familiarity with SAP Ariba, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and related SAP solutions.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
