Responsibilities
This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to help understand financial performance, identify trends, support forecasting activities, and provide analysis that enables informed business decisions. The successful candidate combines strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset and an interest in leveraging technology and data to drive efficiency and insight.
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function for the North America business by providing financial analysis, forecasting support, performance reporting, and decision-support insights.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes.
- Assist in developing revenue, expense, headcount, and capital forecasts.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather assumptions and analyze key business drivers.
- Maintain forecast models and support the preparation of planning deliverables and presentations.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform scenario analyses and financial modeling to support business decisions.
- Assist with contract, pricing, and investment analyses as needed.
- Translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
Performance Reporting
- Analyze monthly financial results against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc management reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Investigate significant variances and collaborate with stakeholders to understand underlying drivers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business review processes.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Utilize tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot to improve financial analysis and reporting.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and data quality.
- Help develop reporting solutions and dashboards that provide actionable business insights.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve reporting effectiveness.
Accounting & Controls Support
- Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close activities.
- Assist with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and other financial transactions as required.
- Support audit requests and maintain compliance with established financial controls and procedures.
- Develop a working knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience building financial models and working with large datasets.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795 - $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
