Responsibilities

  • Key focus: month-end duties include journal entries and account reconciliations (Ex. In-transit Inventory, Purchase Price Variances, Inventory Reclasses)
  • Cost and variance analysis
  • Maintaining Inventory & Account Receivable reports for internal and external use (Ex. Segment Inventory Reporting, Inventory Obsolescence, AR Aging Summary Reports)
  • Blackline Reconciliations
  • Analyzing Purchase Price variances
  • Accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheets
  • Variance trending and report creation
  • Interaction with personnel responsible for front-end processes (Order Management / Purchasing)
  • Interfacing with a variety of departments (Accounting / Finance)
  • Proactive in seeking an integrated solution to inventory challenges and must understand how supply chain flows and how manufacturing processes interact with the general ledger

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting with prior cost accounting experience
  • Strong PC experience with emphasis on spreadsheet applications
  • Critical thinking skills, proven ability to solve complex problems
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with SAP, BPC, Oracle and/or Business Warehouse a plus
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation and deadline driven
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products
  • Business oriented, analytical thinker
  • Knowledge of CFIN/Analysis for Office

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795 - $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
