- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify trends requiring further evaluation or process action
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables
- As needed or directed by the Senior Manager, research accounting guidance and evaluate and document the accounting implications of transactions, business arrangements, and new initiatives
- Execute key internal control activities and strengthen the overall control environment as processes and responsibilities evolve
- Support internal audit, external audit or other review requests
- Help transition new activities into the Accounting team; assess requirements, risks, capacity, and dependencies; and lead implementation from design through stabilization
- Be a catalyst to simplify, standardize, and automate accounting processes while maintaining a strong control environment
- Potential for future role expansion which may include managing, developing and evaluating a staff of accounting professionals
What Will Make You Successful
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong analytical, root-cause, and problem-solving abilities
- Exercise sound professional judgment when evaluating accounting matters
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail
- Build credibility through reliability, professionalism, accountability, and follow-through
- Enjoy learning new concepts, sharing knowledge, and helping the team build new capabilities
- Thrive in an environment where priorities shift and new responsibilities emerge
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset and constructively challenge existing practices
- Balance efficiency, scalability, accounting requirements, and internal controls when designing solutions
- Translate broad objectives into clear workplans, owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- Take ownership of assignments and improvement initiatives from diagnosis through sustained implementation, including clear communications and status updates to management
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Demonstrated ability to research accounting issues and develop supportable conclusions
- Advanced Excel skills

- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading accounting process improvement, standardization, automation, or transformation initiatives with strong internal controls
