OVERRAL OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
Provide 24x6 operational support of product and services, our lottery operations, the agents, customers and services providers, as well as monitor IGT’s enterprise infrastructure and escalate issues as required. Also to keep the Technology Manager and Data Center Supervisor abreast of activities that would affect IGT’s customer and the site.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITES
- Monitor systems regularly for problems that may occur during the day/night and take corrective action where appropriate; notify senior personnel on reported incidents and follow the Escalation Procedures as well as IGT incident management process.
- Carry out all tasks on the daily and nightly checklists in order to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the department.
- Ensure system balancing is carried out nightly.
- Respond to NLCB queries in a timely manner.
- Generate reports upon request and ensure they are reviewed for accuracy and validity.
- Assist in recovery activities necessary to restore normal operations.
- Keep the Technology Manager and Data Center Supervisor abreast of activities that would affect IGT’s customers and the site (particularly system, product and/or service affecting problems).
- Maintain an environmentally safe computer room, acceptance tests lab and computer storage area.
- Ensure that office supplies utilized by the department do not fall below minimum requirements.
- Maintain the Tape and CD/DVD library at acceptable standards.
- Provide helpdesk support to the agents as appropriate.
- Participates in individual professional development by completing assigned development plan.
- Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUERIMENTS
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- 5 O’levels
- Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office will be an asset.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a Linux/UNIX environment will be an asset.
