Overview
Building Bright Futures! Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. The Lottery Field Services Technician is responsible for servicing Brightstar equipment at retailer (customer) locations and will be part of our award-winning lottery services organization. The Field Service Technician maintains service equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.
Responsibilities
- Transport, install, remove, and maintain Brightstar Lottery equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment by cleaning, adjusting, repairing, or replacing components to restore operation.
- Communicate service activities, arrival and departure times, equipment issues, and resolutions accurately to Dispatch.
- Deliver marketing materials and consumable supplies, including paper, ribbons, and bet slips, while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Train new retailers and provide refresher guidance on equipment procedures, including changing paper and ribbon.
- Maintain an organized company vehicle and comply with driver training, vehicle use, and maintenance policies.
- Complete required forms documenting field activities, equipment problems, and recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of two years of experience in a customer service-related position.

Background of at least two years in technical repair or a related hands-on field.

Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Capacity to distinguish colors correctly while installing, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment.

Willingness to drive a 20-foot box truck occasionally without a commercial driver's license.

Residence within reasonable proximity to the assigned service area.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

Familiarity with field service dispatch processes and route-based customer support.

Hands-on expertise troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, or communications equipment.

Inventory management experience involving equipment, replacement parts, tools, or consumable supplies.

Climb ladders and work at heights, including rooftops, when completing certain equipment installations.

Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds over significant distances.

Transport equipment weighing up to 800 pounds with assistance from a colleague and appropriate lifting equipment.

Remain seated and drive for prolonged periods while traveling throughout an assigned service area.

Demonstrate the manual dexterity required to use tools and work safely around moving parts and electrical current.

Operate in close quarters and outdoors during inclement weather as service conditions require.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $29,120 - $52,458. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
