Overview

As the Senior Manager of Security & Compliance, you will oversee physical facility security, product integrity, and compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations. This role manages security operations, maintains certifications, and serves as the primary liaison for client security inquiries, audits, and compliance initiatives. Work is performed onsite at our Lakeland, Florida facility. The position requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to maintain a secure and compliant environment within a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead compliance and security initiatives across the organization, including:
  • Supporting internal auditing and compliance of existing procedures
  • Maintaining certifications such as ISO9000, ISO14000, ISO27000, SAS 70, SOC, and client-specific standards
  • Managing compliance activities, reporting, and documentation
  • Developing strategies to prevent violations of legal rules and internal policies
  • Evaluating controls, identifying risks, and revising procedures as needed
  • Creating reports for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Developing and presenting compliance training programs
  • Supervising security staff across 24/7 operations
  • Coordinating physical security operations and inspections
  • Investigating security violations and recommending corrective actions
  • Overseeing control and destruction of non-conforming products
  • Establishing objectives and measuring results for assigned areas
  • Defining training needs and proposing training plans
  • Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or accounting
  • 6+ years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing audits with internal and external parties
  • Certified ISO management
  • Working knowledge of electronic security hardware and software systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with reporting operations and procedures
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and apply statistical methods
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
  • Skilled in training development and presentation
  • Effective written communication skills for reporting to senior management
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and legal requirements

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $83,696 - $220,000. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
