Overview

As a Press Operator, you will support Brightstar Lottery's production of lottery instant tickets by operating advanced flexographic printing equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient production processes under the guidance of the Press Lead and Press Lead Backup. This role will work 12-hour shifts, with scheduling based on production needs and may rotate across stations as required. This role will be located onsite in Lakeland, Florida.

What You'll Do

Review job sheet information and select the appropriate anilox rolls, printing stock, and print sleeves for proper press setup
Prepare ink vats, load inks, mix custom colors, and adjust pH and viscosity levels to maintain print quality
Monitor production output, web inspection cameras, and strobes to verify compliance with established quality standards
Adjust plates and impressions to maintain proper registration and product quality throughout production runs
Operate press units and unwind systems while loading substrate rolls, print sleeves, material rolls, and related production components
Maintain required production records, including roll tags and pH and viscosity tracking
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, confidentiality standards, information security requirements, and environmental compliance practices
Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated 1-5+ years of related mechanical, manufacturing, and/or printing experience
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Competency to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

What Will Make You Stand Out

Printing trade school education or related technical training
Knowledge of flexographic press operations
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Effectiveness working both independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements

Remain standing or walking throughout 12-hour production shifts
Regularly lift 20-40 lbs, with items over 50 lbs requiring a team lift or approved equipment
Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling throughout the shift
Utilize hand tools and complete repetitive tasks
Work in an environment with noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment
Visually inspect printed or packaged materials with accuracy

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $28.00 - 30.00 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses.
