Overview

As a Press Manager, you will support Brightstar Lottery's press production operations by leading shift activities that ensure the secure, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of lottery tickets. This role provides leadership to Press Operators and Press Leads, drives productivity and safety, optimizes staffing and equipment utilization, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this position requires strong operational leadership, expertise in printing processes, and a commitment to quality and regulatory compliance. 
This role is based onsite at our Lakeland, Florida facility and supports a 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM night shift. Candidates should be comfortable working overnight hours in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 

What You'll Do

  • Direct teams of Press Operators and Press Leads to maintain safe, efficient, and productive operations.
  • Coordinate daily shift activities including staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and equipment utilization.
  • Enforce safety, security, quality, and ISO-based compliance requirements while supporting audits and documentation efforts.
  • Monitor production performance, process parameters, and product quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot press-related issues and partner with Maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Control material consumption, labor utilization, and operating expenses in alignment with budget objectives.
  • Analyze production metrics and operational data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational leadership experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in production, operations management, or printing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams within a high-speed manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, materials, and production equipment, with familiarity in flexographic printing preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering and production technologies, including prepress and press operations.
  • Familiarity with EHS standards, OSHA requirements, and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level or higher.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

  • Degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with flexographic press operations or specialty printing processes.
  • Background in secure printing, packaging, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Maintain the ability to stand or walk throughout 12-hour production shifts.
  • Regularly lift 20 to 40 pounds, with team lifts or approved equipment required for items over 50 pounds.
  • Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material-handling activities during the workday.
  • Operate hand tools and complete repetitive production-related tasks.
  • Work within environments containing noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment.
  • Visually inspect printed and packaged materials with a high degree of accuracy.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
