Overview

As a Press Manager, you’ll oversee all shift operations for Brightstar Lottery’s press production department, ensuring high‑quality lottery ticket manufacturing in a secure, fast‑paced environment. This role leads a team of Press Operators and Press Leads, drives productivity and safety, manages staffing and equipment utilization, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of printing processes, and the ability to maintain compliance with industry, quality, and regulatory standards. This role will work onsite in Lakeland, Florida. This position is night shift 6PM to 6AM.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, supervise, and develop Press Operators and Press Leads, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Manage daily shift activities including staffing, workflow, scheduling, and equipment utilization.
  • Enforce company, safety, security, and ISO‑based compliance requirements; participate in audits and maintain required documentation.
  • Monitor production performance, maintain process parameters, and ensure product quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot press issues and collaborate with Maintenance equipment integrity and minimize downtime.
  • Control material usage, labor costs, and operating expenses in alignment with budget goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report production metrics and documentation for press operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to process efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and workplace safety.
  • Represent Brightstar Lottery professionally with internal teams, visitors, auditors, and external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and organizational objectives.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational leadership experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in production, operations management, or printing related leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a high speed manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of printing industry processes, materials, and equipment (flexographic preferred).
  • Understanding of engineering/production technologies, including prepress and press operations.
  • Working knowledge of EHS standards and safety compliance (OSHA familiarity required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level or above).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Direct experience with flexographic presses or specialty printing.
  • Experience in a secure printing, packaging, or regulated manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk throughout 12‑hour production shifts is required
  • Regularly lift 20–40 lbs; items over 50 lbs require a team lift or use of approved equipment
  • Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling throughout the shift
  • Use hand tools and complete repetitive tasks
  • Work in an environment with noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment
  • Visually inspect printed or packaged materials with accuracy

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
