Overview

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support Brightstar Lottery's production operations by performing facility and equipment maintenance that maximizes uptime, efficiency, and reliability. This role troubleshoots complex electrical and mechanical systems, supports preventive maintenance initiatives, and partners with production teams to maintain a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This role is onsite in Lakeland, Florida and requires working 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You'll work a rotating schedule that includes both weekday and weekend shifts to support our continuous operation.
 

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system issues across production equipment and facility systems.
  • Interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to troubleshoot and calibrate equipment.
  • Promote preventive and predictive maintenance practices that improve operational performance and reliability.
  • Maintain production machinery using specialized tools, test equipment, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with supervisors and production teams to minimize downtime.
  • Document work activities and research equipment history through the CMMS maintenance system.
  • Support facility repairs, fabrication projects, welding activities, and operation of approved material-handling equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience and knowledge of industrial instrumentation and controls.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, AC/DC, servo motor controls, drives, and/or PLC programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as business needs require.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

 

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Associate degree or technical school training in industrial electronics.
  • Experience maintaining printing or packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of Kodak Versamark imaging equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Experience using AutoCAD drawing software.
  • Proven fabrication, welding, and mechanical aptitude.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk throughout 12-hour production shifts.
  • Regularly lift 20–40 pounds; items over 50 pounds require a team lift or approved lifting equipment.
  • Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material-handling activities throughout the workday.
  • Use hand tools and complete repetitive tasks safely and effectively.
  • Work in environments with noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses.
