Overview

As a Line Lead, you'll support Brightstar Lottery’s production operations by coordinating and guiding daily packaging line activities within the Lakeland manufacturing facility. This role ensures instant ticket packaging is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to all quality and security standards. The Line Lead provides hands‑on direction, verifies production accuracy, partners closely with Press Leads and Shift Supervisors, and contributes directly to maintaining product integrity and operational excellence. Work is performed onsite at the Lakeland, Florida facility. This role will work 12‑hour shifts, with scheduling based on production needs and may rotate across stations as required.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, train, and support packaging team members to perform tasks safely, accurately, and in-line with SOPs.
  • Coordinate daily workflow on the packaging line to maintain consistent productivity and carton flow.
  • Monitor line performance and escalating equipment, quality, or workflow issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Verify book and carton packing accuracy with production, pack lists, and Packaging System entries.
  • Ensure all book numbers, void codes, and destruction procedures follow documentation requirements.
  • Inspect instant tickets for quality and separate/organize books for packing.
  • Operate shrink‑wrap machines and related packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Enter accurate data for packing, voiding, and production tracking.
  • Palletize completed cartons for shipment and maintain required labeling/identification.
  • Rotate through multiple line functions after completing required training.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in production, industrial, or printing environments.
  • 1+ year of team leadership experience.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow documented processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Experience with printing, press operations, or industrial production equipment.
  • Recent OSHA or safety‑related training or certification.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk throughout 12‑hour production shifts is required
  • Regularly lift 20–40 lbs; items over 50 lbs require a team lift or use of approved equipment
  • Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling throughout the shift
  • Use hand tools and complete repetitive tasks
  • Work in an environment with noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving equipment
  • Visually inspect printed or packaged materials with accuracy

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $22.00 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses.
