Overview
As a Creative Design Specialist (CDS), you’ll develop and produce high‑quality instant lottery ticket designs, marketing collateral, and production‑ready artwork that support Brightstar Lottery’s commercial and operational goals. This role blends creative design expertise with technical accuracy to meet client standards, comply with legal and brand guidelines, and ensure seamless integration into the manufacturing process. As CDSs advance from Levels 1–4, they take on increasingly complex design projects, collaborate more closely with cross‑functional teams, and play a significant role in optimizing creative workflows and production efficiency. Work is performed onsite for the Lakeland, Florida facility.
What You'll Do
Design & Production
- Create instant ticket art, supporting graphics, inserts, and marketing materials.
- Develop design concepts aligned with client goals, brand standards, and legal requirements.
- Prepare accurate, press‑ready files that meet manufacturing specifications and prepress standards.
- Produce working‑paper art pages, ticket backs, and support layers in required file formats.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Account Services, Sales, and Prepress to ensure design accuracy, smooth file handoff, and timely revisions.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to maintain consistency, efficiency, and production optimization.
- Participate in special projects and support international design needs as assigned.
Quality Assurance
- Review designs to ensure all required content is present, accurate, and compliant with manufacturing guidelines.
- Edit and refine bitmap files for clarity, quality, and consistency.
- Verify that artwork meets technical requirements and is fully press‑ready.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Understand digital printing methods, page imposition, layout standards, and file‑format workflows.
- Learn and apply tools such as ESKO Automated Engineer and other production software.
- Other duties as assigned.
Level Progression Overview
- Level 1 – Designer I: Learns core processes, supports basic design tasks, and prepares production‑ready files with guidance.
- Level 2 – Designer II: Manages multiple projects, independently executes complex designs, and contributes creative solutions.
- Level 3 – Senior Designer: Leads high‑priority work, mentors junior designers, and supports technical troubleshooting.
- Level 4 – Advanced Designer: Drives complex design initiatives, enhances processes, and collaborates with leadership to improve department efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- 2–7 years of experience in graphic design, printing, prepress, or related fields (level‑dependent).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of digital prepress, print layouts, and production workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow structured processes.
- Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $31,096 - $67,486. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
