Overview
Brightstar is seeking a results-driven and relationship-focused Lottery Sales Representative to support the growth of Hoosier Lottery products across a designated territory. In this consultative role, you’ll partner with retailers to drive sales, implement merchandising standards, and promote incentive and marketing programs—all while maintaining a socially responsible approach.
You’ll build strong relationships with retailers, the Hoosier Lottery, and Brightstar teams to deliver impactful sales strategies and ensure optimal product visibility and performance at retail.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory action plan using comprehensive sales data to drive performance.
- Maximize sales by implementing Business Plan initiatives and managing territory goals.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through strategic sales and marketing tactics.
- Conduct Retailer Business Reviews to communicate incentive goals, identify growth opportunities, and ensure merchandising compliance.
- Use reporting tools to optimize retail space and maximize Access Points and counter display placement.
- Collaborate with Instant Ticket Specialists to maintain optimal scratch-off inventory levels at retail and self-service locations.
- Manage the Self-Service network, ensuring retailers meet availability goals and follow planogram guidelines.
- Execute Point-of-Sale and Shopper Marketing initiatives to create impactful retail touchpoints.
- Educate retailers and players on lottery products, promotions, and best practices.
- Share ideas for new promotional and merchandising strategies with key stakeholders.
- Support new game launches and promotional campaigns to meet activation goals.
- Uphold Retailer Lottery Contract and policy procedures.
- Maintain accurate sales data and retailer records using Sales Wizard.
- Travel within assigned territory nearly 100% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales/marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail sales, consumer packaged goods, or marketing.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong sales closing and relationship-building skills.
- Clear and persuasive communication in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Ability to produce clear, concise written materials.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to position sales and marketing concepts in a compelling and persuasive manner.
- General understanding of lottery operations and transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
- Flexible schedule with potential weekend activities.
- Extensive daytime travel required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Overnight travel may be required for state sales meetings or special events.
- Must maintain vehicle and adhere to reporting requirements.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $40,887 - $115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
