Overview

The Field Services Tech II provides front‑line technical support for Electronic Gaming or Lottery Devices, ensuring reliable operation across customer locations. This role is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and removal of devices and related systems. Serving as a customer-facing representative, the Field Services Tech II delivers high-quality service while adhering to regulatory, safety, and operational standards. The position requires strong technical ability, customer service skills, and the capacity to work independently under limited supervision. 

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, convert, remove, and repair Electronic Gaming or Lottery Devices, systems, equipment, and signs
  • Open, track, report, and close all assigned service activities accurately and promptly. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as a professional point of contact for clients. 
  • Identify non‑compliance issues and escalate to Supervisor/Manager as required.
  • Gather information and escalate product concerns to Field Service Management. 
  • Maintain all required inventory and process usage according to procedures. 
  • Comply with safety requirements, company policies, gaming/lottery regulations, and vehicle/maintenance guidelines. 
  • Interface with third‑party vendors to troubleshoot equipment issues. 
  • Provide product training to customers as needed. 
  • Complete all required trainings and maintain competency in progressive setups (WAP/local). 
  • Support promotional events by providing on‑site technical assistance. 
  • Work independently with limited supervision while managing assigned tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years old. 
  • Ability to pass background checks, MVR screenings, Fit for Duty tests, and credit checks as required by jurisdiction.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record per company Fleet Policy. 
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience and experience in a related technical field. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain gaming/lottery licensing where required. 
  • Preferred experience in gaming or lottery industry. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word/Excel, electronics, cell/satellite communication equipment, and dispatching systems. 
  • Ability to travel as required (varies by market). 
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. 
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, and carry up to 52 lbs; work from ladders, at heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather. 
  • Ability to remain focused under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and work independently with strong self‑motivation.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $43,680 - $51,792. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
