Role Overview:

As an SQA IV, you will drive quality assurance initiatives across diverse platforms, with a strong focus on automation, API testing, and scalable test strategies. You will lead a high-performing QA team, define modern testing approaches, and collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure robust, efficient, and high-quality software delivery. Experience in the gaming industry is considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, security, and API testing.
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers, promoting a culture of automation-first and quality ownership.
  • Collaborate closely with the automation team to leverage and enhance existing backend and frontend test automation frameworks. Ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and utilize automation tools.
  • Champion shift-left testing practices to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.
  • Prioritize test coverage using risk-based testing aligned with business impact and release goals.
  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
  • Track and report QA metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, test execution velocity, release readiness).
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for high-impact defects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure global readiness, including multilingual QA coverage and platform compatibility

Core Skills & Experience:

  • Proven leadership in QA team management, coaching, and performance development.
  • Deep expertise in automated testing, especially for RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with backend API automation using REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, and frontend/mobile automation using Robot Framework and Appium.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) and automation reporting dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL for test scripting and data validation.
  • Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker), and microservices architecture.
  • Solid grasp of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to define and monitor KPIs for test effectiveness, coverage, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to leverage AI-powered tools and techniques for intelligent test case generation, defect prediction, and automated test optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10–12 years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience with testing integrated platforms and APIs is essential.

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with XRAY plugin for JIRA and other test traceability tools.
  • Insight into QA practices in the gaming industry and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Additional QA certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Tester, Certified Mobile Tester).
