Short Description
The Software Developer II is a developing professional responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software components within defined product areas. This role focuses on hands‑on implementation, problem‑solving within established patterns, and collaboration with cross‑functional partners to deliver high‑quality solutions.
Developers at this level work with moderate autonomy, handling well‑scoped problems while following established architectural standards and development practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain application features and services
- Fix bugs and resolve moderately complex technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and peers to deliver roadmap items
- Write clear technical documentation and support deployment activities
- Follow SDLC, security, and engineering standards consistently
- Contribute to unit testing and support system reliability and performance
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
- Solid proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., .NET, C#, Angular)
- Working knowledge of software design patterns and debugging techniques
- Familiarity with cloud‑native and multi‑tenant application concepts
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to manage assigned tasks with general supervision
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Advanced degree may substitute for experience, or equivalent work experience
