Overview

The Telesales Representative I (Instant Ticket Specialist) is responsible for supporting New York Lottery retailers by managing instant ticket inventory through proactive telephone-based sales activities. This role focuses on growing instant ticket sales by maintaining the right product mix for assigned retailers, providing regular inventory recommendations, and ensuring consistent communication through scheduled weekly or bi-weekly outreach.

As part of the inside sales team, the Telesales Representative works closely with field sales staff to optimize retailer performance, respond to customer inquiries, and process incoming ticket orders. The role emphasizes relationship-building, accurate account documentation, and meeting targeted sales goals while demonstrating the benefits of Brightstar’s inventory management approach. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, sales acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

The Telesales Representative (Instant Ticket Specialist) assists in managing the NY Lottery Retailer instant ticket inventory via telephone by contacting established customers on a regularly scheduled basis.

  • Grow Instant Ticket Sales by managing existing retailers’ inventory to ensure right product mix
  • Contact assigned retailer’s weekly or bi-weekly to make recommendations that will result in optimizing instant sales
  • Sales typically made through inbound sales activities, inbound activity is supported secondary
  • Maintain notes for each account
  • Demonstrates the advantages of Brightstar solely managing inventory
  • Achieves targeted sales goals
  • Acts as part of an inside sales team and support field sales staff
  • Responds to customer inquiries
  • Review and process incoming instant ticket orders from sales representatives while working in conjunction with them to provide the highest level of support to lottery retailers
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School degree or equivalent; associates degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 1 year of related experience is required.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products and Outlook

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $43,680 - $46,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
