Supervisor Physical Security

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily physical security operations for Texas and all assigned remote sites globally, including offices, warehouses, data centers, and lottery-related locations.
  • Own the access control administration, badge issuance, access requests, access reviews, and employee terminations.
  • Oversee the review of security-related work orders, tickets, and service requests.
  • Coordinate incident response with internal stakeholders, facilities teams, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Assess security risks and direct mitigation efforts during off-hours events to minimize operational disruption and maintain compliance.
  • Provide timely communication and incident updates to leadership and appropriate stakeholders during significant security events.
  • Perform annual reviews of the security policies, procedures, response protocols, and operational documentation.
  • Administer physical security systems, including access control, visitor management, CCTV, and alarm monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot security system issues and coordinate repairs with internal support teams.
  • Work with the Sr. Manager of Operations to manage site projects, including new site activations, office expansions, remodels, and physical security improvement projects.
  • Conduct or coordinate investigations involving security incidents, policy violations, suspicious activity, property loss, workplace safety concerns, and access control violations.
  • Review major incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate escalation.
  • Supervise and develop security officers.
  • Provide coaching, training, scheduling oversight, and performance management.
  • Conduct team meetings on a quarterly basis to align
  • Ensure staffing levels and operational coverage meet day-to-day operations requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, GSOC operations, law enforcement, military security, or a related field leadership.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, investigations, and incident response.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

Education

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate security, physical security, GSOC operations, law enforcement, military, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Preferred

  • Associate’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • ASIS APP, PSP, CPP, or other relevant professional security certification.
  • Experience supporting regulated industries, including lottery, gaming, critical infrastructure, technology, or data center operations.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $58,000 - $63,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
