Overview
This role has responsibility for assisting in the successful strategic planning, execution and analysis of the Marketing, Promotions and Training initiatives for the Texas Lottery account. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, independent, detail-oriented worker with strong organizational, analytical, mathematical, marketing, communication and leadership skills. Excellent computer skills are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Manage execution of the overall promotions plan in alignment with the Marketing Operations Manager and Brightstar sales organization.
- Recommend actions, develop project plans, schedule activities, estimate costs, and manage projects through completion.
- Deliver post-project analysis reports with insights and recommendations.
- Ensure successful development and achievement of project goals and timelines.
- Respond to multiple requests in an organized, timely manner.
- Work with large volumes of data, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
- Assemble, organize, and present data-driven insights.
- Deliver reports and analytical tools in clear, actionable formats.
- Provide customers with meaningful insights to support ROI and business growth.
- Support internal sales and account management teams in developing promotional opportunities for new and existing customers.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative customer relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Assist customers with data-driven strategies to drive growth and return on investment.
- Support the sales organization in executing promotional, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
- Support and train PTRs (Promotional Team Representatives).
- Maintain up-to-date curriculum databases and training records.
- Motivate and organize team members to ensure effective collaboration.
- Participate as a 2nd Chance Draw Manager as required.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to define agenda and discussion topics for the annual PTR Conference.
- Manage updates and edits to the Promotions Execution Guide.
- Engage in public promotional events as needed, including extended hours for event-related activities.
- Manage process flow of POS (Point-of-Sale) materials.
- Organize and submit all contractually required promotions-related documentation.
- Monitor and manage statewide promotional asset inventory, including required reporting.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including event production and staffing partners, to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong business writing skills for communications to large audiences (best practices, procedures, reporting analyses).
- Apply creative problem-solving and innovative thinking to challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum 25% travel. Majority of weekend travel may occur February through July with most opportunity for travel in September and October during the State Fair.
- 4 year college degree, or equivalent, in Marketing, Market Research, Math or Communications.
- 2 - 5 years professional experience in project, marketing or sales coordination role preferred.
- Possess excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Possess excellent business writing skills.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $38,281 - $156,700. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
