Responsibilities

At Brightstar, we're seeking a dedicated Repair Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Austell, GA. As a Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our terminals and associated peripherals perform flawlessly. - Troubleshoot and repair terminals and associated peripherals down to the component and board level.
- Support field service technicians by distributing parts, tools, and inventory.
- Test the Point of Sale and Communications equipment to determine the cause of failure.
- Inspect and clean the interior/exterior of Point-of-Sale equipment as required.
- Update and maintain repair and inventory databases.
- Assist in maintaining an adequate supply of spare parts, sub-assemblies, and complete terminals.
- Screen parts returned from vendors and repair centers for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with different client services departments and lottery and retail customers as required.
- Perform data entry and general administrative duties.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklift equipment.
- Occasionally operate a 24-foot box truck for the installation of self-service equipment at retail locations.
- Aid with field service activities, including service calls and installations, as needed.
- Manage transportation of equipment between warehouses.
- Minimal travel is required, with occasional field assistance as needed, based on site requirements.

Qualifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to climb a ladder and lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance.
- Demonstrate dexterity when working with tools, moving parts, and electrical current.
EDUCATION
- High school degree or GED equivalent required.
YEARS EXPERIENCE
- One or more years of related work experience is required.
- Experience working with electronics and electromechanical devices is essential.
- Experience with communications and IP-based technology is preferred.
- Proficiency in navigating various software applications is required.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and perform well under pressure.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $29,120 - $52,458. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
